That's why we embed education into every interaction we have with clients. We're not interested in telling you exactly the way to go — we'd rather help you understand all the options so you can make a decision that suits you, your lifestyle, and your goals.
Financial Advisers
Starting my career at the grassroots of banking with Countrywide in 1996 before moving onto National Bank, I learned all about the industry from inside it. Following some time at Citibank London during my OE, I returned to National Bank lending services and progressed from their business credit team to a Senior Business Banking Manager position.
This inside view of the industry gave me a wealth of knowledge across the financial industry and sparked my passion for helping families understand and grow their finances.
Today, I'm not driven by the lending products I offer — I'm driven by a desire to help my clients make well-informed decisions that suit them and their goals. From simplifying information and educating clients in financial literacy to providing friends and family with tips and tricks, I love helping people save time and money so they can focus on the more important things in life.
When I'm not out educating the community, you will find me at home with my family, traveling the world learning about different cultures or in the gym doing my burpees.
My road to financial services was a bit unusual — after many years in the health sector I went through a tough time in my personal life when our daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumour. A really horrible situation was made all the worse when we realised that our family wasn't covered for what we should have been.
After struggling through, I realised I wanted to make a difference to families like us and became a financial adviser, specialising in personal and business risk protection. I put serious effort into understanding insurance underwriting and the differences between insurance policies — after all, not all insurers are the same, and the devil's in the detail.
A Masters in Business Administration (distinction), BHSc in Podiatry, previous roles on multiple not-for-profit boards, and over 25 years in business have put me in a privileged position of being able to give back — providing advice that's driven by genuinely caring about others, not financial gain.
Business Development
With over 25 years in financial services — including a background as a registered financial adviser — Alex now brings that expertise to a business development role, working in a non-advice capacity. His focus is on building relationships and connecting the Pasifika community with the right financial expertise.
Alex began his career working for Chartered Accountancy firms in Samoa and New Zealand, before moving through the private sector, banking industry, and Central Bank, eventually setting up his own accountancy firm in Auckland.
Known as the Pasifika Adviser for Pasifika People, Alex's philosophy is to keep things simple — helping people understand their finances without the overwhelming jargon. Outside of work you'll find him spending time with his family, or walking to the top of Mount Maunganui to catch the sunrise.
A former registered financial adviser specialising in personal insurance and KiwiSaver, Alva now works in a business development capacity — focused on community education and helping families find the right financial support, without providing personal advice.
Alva has been in the financial services industry since 2005, initially working alongside her husband in a family accounting practice in Auckland before expanding into insurances and KiwiSaver in 2011.
Hailing from the Pacific, Alva is passionate about educating communities where insurance protection isn't widely understood — working to increase awareness and ensure families are prepared for the unexpected. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and doing a bit of gardening.
General Insurance
For property, vehicle, commercial, and marine insurance, we refer clients to Wayne Grayson — a specialist general insurance brokerage. Kane and Craig lead the business as co-owners and directors. Stacey is our dedicated contact for marine and watercraft cover. When a Trebla client needs cover in these areas, this is the team we trust to deliver it.
Director & Adviser
Craig is a Director and co-owner of Wayne Grayson, leading the distribution side of the business. With deep experience across commercial and personal general insurance lines, Craig oversees how the brokerage delivers cover for clients across New Zealand — from SME businesses through to complex commercial risks.
Director & Adviser
Kane is a Director and co-owner of Wayne Grayson, leading the partnerships side of the business. He works closely with referral partners like Trebla to ensure clients get seamless access to quality general insurance advice — backed by a brokerage that operates across the full market of insurers.
Adviser - Marine
Stacey is our dedicated contact for marine and watercraft insurance — covering recreational boats, yachts, jet skis, and commercial marine risks. She is the person we connect Trebla clients with when they need cover on the water, and understands both the personal and commercial marine markets inside out.
For all other general insurance needs — house and contents, motor vehicle, landlord, liability, and commercial fire and general — Stacey and the wider Wayne Grayson team are our first call.
